Welcome to S.E.R.K (Soccer Extravaganza Robot Killing), the ultimate action-sports arcade mashup for the Commodore 64!

In this game, the soccer pitch becomes a deadly battleground. Weaponize your ball to smash killer robots, take down opposing human players, and blast goals into the net to rack up massive points. Bring your friends, watch the rebounds, and fight to survive!

🕹️ 1. BASIC CONTROLS

🚀 2. GAMEPLAY MECHANICS & STRATEGY

• Raking up Points: The core strategy is to maximize your score within the time limit. Constantly juggle between striking down robots, tackling other humans, and scoring goals.
• The Rebound Hazard: Watch your positioning! When you blast the ball into a robot or another player, it will ricochet forcefully back into play. If you don't dodge the rebound, you might accidentally kill yourself.
• The Dash (Sprint): When you are not in possession of the ball, pressing the Fire button triggers a quick speed burst. Use this dash strategically to escape incoming enemy fire or dodge a rogue ball.

🏟️ 3. GAME MODES

1. SURVIVAL MODE

Embark on a brutal 30-stage campaign with progressive difficulty. This mode can be played solo or cooperatively with up to 4 human players.

• The Rule of Survival: Each stage lasts 45 seconds. You must reach the required target score before the timer runs out to safely advance.
• Life or Death: If you reach the target score, you advance to the next stage safely. If you fail to meet the target score, you will play the same stage again and you will lose one life as a penalty.
• Game Over: You start with 3 lives. The game ends when all your lives are gone.
• Difficulty Settings:
  • NORMAL: The standard survival experience.
  • HELL: A punishing challenge with highly aggressive AI and significantly higher target scores required to pass each stage.

2. ARENA MODE

A chaotic, competitive multiplayer battleground for up to 4 players to find out who is the ultimate "Serker"!

• Dynamic Chaos: Increasing the difficulty level makes the arena much more frantic, making both the enemy robots and the goalkeepers significantly smarter and faster.
• NO ROBOT Mode: Want a pure PvP experience? Select the "NO ROBOT" difficulty setting to clear the pitch of all mechanical threats, leaving only human players to battle it out.
• Win Conditions: You can set a target score limit to win the match: 20, 30, or 40 points. The first player to reach the chosen score instantly wins the match.

💯 4. SCORING SYSTEM & BONUSES

Score Multipliers:

• Goal Scored: +2 Points
• Human Player Hit: +2 Points
• Sniper Robot Destroyed: +1 Point
• Chaser Robot Destroyed: +2 Points

Item Pickups (Hearts):

• ❤️ Red: +3 Points
• 💛 Yellow : +5 Points
• 💚  Green: +8 Points

Penalties & Extra Lives:

• 💀 Player Death: You lose 5 points every time you die (your score will never drop below zero).
• 🔋 Extra Lives: Your match score is accumulative and carries over to your final score. For every 150 points you accumulate, you are awarded an extra life to keep your survival run alive.
